But That’s Not Buddhism

A recurring challenge we’ll face is that Bodhideism doesn’t always align with early historical Buddhism. That’s intentional—this is an evolution of Buddhism, not a mere recitation. Expect innovation and transformation, which naturally diverge from traditional teachings.

Bodhideism reinterprets core Buddhist insights through a comprehensive philosophical lens, blending ancient wisdom with modern science, psychology, and philosophy. Sometimes other wisdom traditions illuminate aspects of the path more clearly, teach them better, or align closer with evidence we now possess.

Ultimately, Bodhideism doesn’t seek orthodoxy; it seeks efficacy and the best explanation of the evidence. Test these teachings in the crucible of your own experience—see if they lead to freedom, compassion, and awakening. The proof of the pudding is in the eating.
